What’s Up?

This site is dedicated to all helpers who helped to make the past, present and future beach cleanups at Sembawang Park Beach. It has been years, many hands have contributed to help to keep this beach clean and contributed in the study to understand our beaches.

When you hear the event entitled “beach cleanup” or ”beach cleaning” its always associated with getting your hand dirty. Well part of it is true, isn’t it a sore eye to see our beaches so dirty, so the helpers do what it right, clean it  right up. The second part is we are contributing to an international study and joining friends all over the world on the impact of how litters could affect our environment.

This event is conducted every 3rd Saturday of the month of September. For more info on this you can read it from this site >>> http://coastalcleanup.nus.edu.sg/aboutcleanup.html

This site focuses more on the administrative, site inspection (recce), logistics, planning and most importantly you the people who help to make this event a success.

We hope everyone participate in this event will have a good idea on what contibutes to the litters or why the beach is so clean. Let have a wonderful cleanup this coming beach cleanup.

Signing off,
Yasim Abidin
Site Captain of Sembawang Beach Site. (Year 2008).
