A site survey was conducted on 31st August 2008. We concluded the site is relatively safe to conduct this year ICCS(International Coastal Cleanup Singapore). However this place does have some area that need attention as a precaution.
HAZARD1
There is a drop from the road. Becareful do not run. You will see red bricks along the road. Over it may be a steep drop. On the beach ground itself, we notice lots of pot holes. So walk carefully.
HAZARD2
Here you may not feel much danger but look up, you may see some coconut. Possible risk on coconut falling so take cover and move through the area quickly. We also see some puddle of water which could have risk of mosquito breeding. Just be aware of it.
HAZARD3
The area is under development. Orange barrier can be seen. Avoid the area.
HAZARD4
Steep drop. 3 stairs to access the beach. If high tide. Area will be declare out of bound. Tide on the day is expected to be (7:49 AM SGT = 1.17 m; 2:13 PM SGT = 3.10 m)
These are some things to observe. Again be reminded if there are risk or dangers inform your team leader.
